1936 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-013
Error
Description
Strong Class VI extra thickness shows on EPU, the dots, both wheat stems, and the upper left wheat ear. A Class II spread towards the center shows on UNUM and the upper right wheat ear. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Three parallel die scratches run from WNW to ESE between the upper G and O in GOD. Die scratches run from NW to SE through the US in TRUST. A die scratch runs SSE from the underside of the chin to the vest just below the bowtie. Obverse Stage B: The Stage A die scratches are either very weak or missing. Reverse Stage A: A die scratch runs SSE from the bottom right of the T in CENT to the top of the E in STATES. Two parallel die scratches run SSE from the AT in STATES to the 2nd A in AMERICA. A nearly vertical die scratch can be found just to the right of the bottom of the E in CENT. Reverse Stage B: The Stage A die scratches are either very weak or missing. A die scratch runs NE from the left dot.
