Description

1923-P VAM-1D Whisker Cheek Discovered by Bill Fivaz January 1974 This coin is a Top 50 Peace Dollar VAM. '''1D II1 - B2a (Whisker Cheek) I-3 R-6''' '''Obverse II1''' - Normal die with die beak on cheek. '''Reverse B2a''' - Normal die. '''Comments:''' '''1.''' The VAM-1D gets its name by the readily apparent die break on Liberty's cheek that begins to the right of Liberty's nose and runs down towards the back of her jaw. As with other coins with die breaks, the larger the break and later the die state, the more desirable the coin is.
