'''VAM 5A DESCRIPTION:''' '''5A II 1 · B2c (Scar Cheek, Tripled Olive Leaves) I-3 R-6''' '''Obverse''' '''II 1''' - Vertical die break and large die chip just behind Liberty’s mouth. '''Reverse B2c''' - Tripled olive leaves. '''COMMENTS:''' The 1922 Vam 5A is named for the large die break that forms a scar on the cheek. As with other die breaks with progressions, the later die stages command higher premiums. All Vam 5A's show a die gouge under the "G" in "GOD". Collectors should come to their own conclusions about the rarity of the sub-varieties. 2011 VAM-5A was slit into 3 varieties. 1) [[1922-P VAM-5A1 2) [[1922-P VAM-5A2 3) [[1922-P VAM-5A3 '''VAM 5A DIE STAGES:''' '''5''' '''STAGE 1:''' '''S''mall die chip on die crack.
