=1921-S VAM-27 Doubled & Tripled Stars, Die Scratches Reverse, Scribbling Die Scratches= Discovered by Phil Perdue in March 2008. Revised 2017 LD Lane aka ChiefRet. 27 IV 18 - D2a (Doubled & Tripled Stars, Die Scratches Reverse, Scribbling Die Scratches) (189) Obverse 27 IV 18- Doubled left stars and E PLURIBUS towards rim. Slightly tripled right stars. Reverse D2a- Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle's right leg, and between Eagle's left wing and body. Diagonal die scratches from rim thru D in Dollar, below E in ONE and end of second wreath cluster left from bow. 1921-S Filled Mint Marks FDMM 1 DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # This coin is known with a filled S mint mark.
