=1921-P VAM-72 Tripled Left stars & E PL, Doubled Profile= Discovered by Jeff Oxman, August 2006. 72 IV 54 · D1a (Tripled Left stars & E PL, Doubled Profile) (189) Obverse IV 54– Slightly doubled Liberty head profile from front of LIBERTY band down thru front of hair, nose, lips and chin. All left stars and E PL slightly tripled towards rim. All right stars, U-IBUS and date digits slightly doubled towards rim. Top of Phrygian cap slightly doubled. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Gouges from top of eagle’s left wing up thru F in OF to denticles is the later die state 1921-P VAM-72A.
