=1921-P VAM-3W Triple Gouges Left Stars, Scribbling Die Scratches #95 = Discovered by Clayton Christiansen, September 2004. Revised 2016 3W (revised)IV 1 · D2a (Triple Gouges Left Stars, Scribbling Die Scratches #95) (189) Obverse IV 1– Triple diagonal die gouges from denticles to first two left stars plus single diagonal die gouge below jaw. Very slightly tripled left stars and E PLU towards rim and very slightly doubled profile from hair down to chin. Reverse D2a – Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle’s right leg, between eagle's left wing and body and in middle of eagle's left wing. ''Die marker'' - Die gouge in field back of eagle's head. (Formerly VAM-3EH) DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Triple diagonal die gouges from denticles to the first two left stars plus a single diagonal die gouge below jaw.
