=1921-D VAM-28 Tripled Left Stars & Legend, Quadrupled Right Stars, Scribbling Die Scratches= Discovered by Raymond Roberts Submitted through John Baumgart / Variety Slabbing Service September 2007 28 IV 19 • D2a (Tripled Left Stars & Legend, Quadrupled Right Stars, Scribbling Die Scratches) (189) Obverse IV19 – Slightly quadrupled right stars, tripled date digits and left stars. Slightly doubled E PLURIBU towards rim. Vertical die scratch that closes the loops on 9. Reverse D2a – Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers to the right of eagle’s right leg and some between a eagle’s left wing and body. ''Die marker'' – U shaped die impression on lower arrow head and diagonal die scratch on seventh outside feather from bottom of eagle’s right wing DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Formerly JOH-3
