=1889-P VAM-31 Doubled Ear Inside, Far Date= Discovered by Marc Serafine, January 2001. Revised by C. Logan McKechnie September 2002. 31 III2 28 C3a (Doubled Ear Inside, Far Date) (190) Obverse III2 28 - Ear doubled at left inside and slightly at lower right inside. Doubling is extremely minor and easily overlooked, A few lower hair strands also display faint doubling. Date set further right than normal. ''Diagnostic-'' strong polishing lines in LIBERTY, particularly the E. . Reverse C3a - Normal die. Likely paired with another obverse die first as there are clashmarks from the wing up to the G of God. Corresponding clash is not present on the 1889-P VAM-31 obverse.
