Discovery September 2025, Brent Fogelberg 40 III2 37 • C3a (High Date, Filled 6) (?) Obverse III2 37 - Date set at the right side of normal lateral position and slightly high. Top loop of 6 filled with patch of die polishing. Die Marker - Lines in LIBERTY. Reverse C3a - ''Die Markers'' - Lines in wing-neck gap and wreath bow. Diagonal scratch in space above eagle's right foot. DPIS - RH3/LH5 Comments: # Note the original question if this variety shares the same reverse as 1886-P_VAM-10 (not currently on official designation) # To date, all coins identified as this variety show the pronounced 'square root' die gouge along Liberty's neck, immediately below the chin juncture (also not listed on the official designation)
