Description

Discovery June 2023, Brent Fogelberg 60 III2 43 • C3o (Doubled 18, Ear, O Set Slightly Left) (?) Obverse III2 43 - 1 doubled slightly at top right of shaft. First 8 doubled as a small curve at the top inside of the lower loop. Liberty's ear doubled on left and right inside, likely die fatigue in later die stages. Reverse C3o - O mint mark set slightly to left with lumps at the left inside. ''Die Marker'' - faint lines and bumps in the wing-neck gap Comments: # Discovery coin is late die state, so doubling in ear might be exaggerated from die wear. # This is very similar to VAM 23, but both dies are different # There is a weak, slightly rotated clash on some specimens.
