=1880-S VAM-76 Dash Under 8, Doubled Date, S/S Right= Discovered by Marc Serafine, May 2004. 76 III2 76 ∙ C3g (Dash Under 8, Doubled Date, S/S Right) (186) Obverse III2 76 – A high set and thin dash appears just below the second 8 in date. The second 8 is also slightly doubled at bottom left outside of upper loop. The 0 is doubled on the lower right inside. 1 is doubled at top right of vertical shaft. First 8 doubled on top and right inside of lower loop. Die Markers - Polishing lines in LIBERTY, around cotton bolls, and in wheat leaves. Reverse C3g – (medium) IV S mint mark repunched with original showing as a short vertical line at top right of upper loop opening and as a vertical curved line at very right side of lower loop opening.
