=1880-S VAM-50 Tripled 0, S/S Down= Discovered by Martin Field, December 1978. 50 III2 13 ∙ C3s (Tripled 0, S/S Down) (185) Obverse III2 13 – I is doubled slightly below upper serif and first 8 is doubled slightly at top of upper loop opening. Second 8 doubled at lower left outside of upper loop. 0 is tripled strongly on lower left outside and is raised well above the surface of the original 0. The 0 is also doubled at very bottom left inside of the opening. Reverse C3s – Medium S mint mark repunched showing as a horizontal line within the middle of the upper loop opening and a diagonal line at top of lower loop opening. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments:NOTE: may be a duplicate of vam 20EDS
