=1878-S VAM-115 Gouged B, Gouges Bottom of Eagle’s Left Wing = Discovery 2021 by Clayton Christiansen 115 II 47 • B2a (Gouged B, Gouges Bottom of Eagle’s Left Wing) (184) Obverse II 47 – Multiple strong parallel gouges in upper left of B of LIBERTY. Additional gouges in R and T. Area under designer’s initial overpolished. Reverse B2a – Three long diagonal die gouges at bottom of eagle’s left wing. R in Trust not broken.
