=1878-P VAM-229.1 Doubled Top Obverse= 229.1 II 8 C3a (Doubled Top Obverse) (193) Obverse II 8 - Slightly doubled top of Phrygian cap, right wheat leaf, top of left two cotton leaves, LIBERTY on left side and band front, hair front and US UNUM towards rim. DPIS – In 1878 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # This variety typically comes clashed obv/rev. but there is no letter transfer. The EDS is non-clashed and quite rare.
