=1878-P VAM-183 Broken R, Spike Above Eyelid= Discovered March 2006 by Clayton Christiansen Former VAM 186A, Renumbered December 2022. 184 II 2 • B2c (Broken R, Spike Above Eyelid) ( ? ) Obverse II 2 – Short spike above eyelid front. Three vertical polishing lines in mouth & some raised metal at left inside of both 8's upper loop & at top inside of first 8 lower loop. DPIS – In 1878 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Do not confuse this with the more common 1878-P VAM-181, which also has a spike above the eyelid, although it is vertical, similar to VAM 222C.
