= 1878-P VAM-131A Die Chip in Hair = Discovered by: 131A (revised) II 2 B2a (Die Chip in Hair) (194) Obverse II 2 – Die chip in hair below BE in LIBERTY on late die states. Thin die scratch in front of die chip down to forehead. Thin long horizontal die scratches from bottom of eye front, eye socket and nostril. Worm-like die scratch thru Y in LIBERTY. Heavy vertical die scratch in space between curls behind neck. Comments: 1. Additional chips on lower rear phrygian cap
